Hello Benny - This is one of those images that confirm the saying 'A picture is worth a thousand words'. So simple and yet so powerful. I wonder who the shoes belong to and what are the circumstances of their lives. I notice the chalked western numerals on the wooden wall and wonder who wrote them. To me, the image speaks of people at the bottom of the pile trying to 'improve' their lot through education. A very special photograph. TFS Warm regards Rosemary

Fascinating image, Benny - almost a before and after, with the shoes on the right so worn, frayed and faded. Like Rosemary, I wonder about the writing and the story behind all of this, but that's the power of a great photo - a snapshot that lets the viewer provide their own story! Great eye to see this and judge it worthy of a shot, and beautiful execution.
