Photographer's Note
Dadun is a Bao'an village up in the hills around Dahejia in south-western Gansu. It's a couple of hours' walk from Dahejia, luckily we managed to find a small public bus to take us back.
The Bao'an (also Bonan) people are an ethnic group living in Gansu and Qinghai provinces in northwestern China. Numbering approximately 17,000 they are the 7th smallest of the 56 ethnic groups officially recognized by the People's Republic of China.
They are muslims, speak a Mongolic language and are famed for producing beautifully decorated knives of high quality.

Hello Benny, I imagine that the grain is laid out so that it can dry?
A fascinating insight into a different way of life.
Each part of the shot has something to offer; the circle and the child, the buildings and then the mountains in the bg.All in sharp focus.
Regards Jean.

Hi Benny,
Another very interesting exotic capture from that part of the world. I like the simple everyday moment and the colors. Well seen.

Hello Benny
That's an unusual minaret for a mosque. I love your framing and composition here, with the circle of wheat complementing the lines of the buildings beyond. The single figure is a vital element too.

Hi Benny!
This must be far from everything and a place I would surely like to visit. The mosque is very original and the way they put the cereals on the ground also. The boy also adds a lot.

Hello Benny,
what a great picture! Lucky you had the boy walking there. Good framing.
Gansu is a poor rural province, harvest is a good topic for taking pictures.
