Photographer's Note

This temple spot is along the third gorge of the famous Yangtze Three Gorges river area of China. The great dam project, still in its final phases, will raise the water level another 60 feet. However higher spots like this will not be effected. The cruise along the river between Yichang and Chingqing is still worth the effort.

You show us a wonderful building, an impressive one, beautifully embedded in the surrounding landscape. I like especially the point of view here which emphasizes the architecture very well.
