Photographer's Note
A vacation in a hill-station always has twin aspects. One is the journey to the place .. and another is about the actual place itself. For any hill station the journey can be as beautiful as the destination. But still our minds long to catch a glimpse of the snowcapped peaks visible from that particular place.
This shot was taken near the Darjeeling Mall.
It was cloudy foggy and drizzling. Tourists were clearly disappointed to miss their favourite peak Mt Kangchendzonga from Darjeeling.
In this shot an onlooker just places her hopes in the direction where the majestic peak might have been had the clouds not been there. With a heavy heart she sighs to herself and says .. I could have seen the third highest peak of the world from here only if these clouds were not present .. only if ...

If only...
Well you did get this great shot to come home with which is worth 100 of the thrid highest peak
this is unique in its own right if you had got the shot it might just have been yet another of a this peak
I like the symbolism here conveyed well between the note and the image
Well captured

Hi Samrat,
A nice moment my friend. It can also be thought of as What If.... she was not present.. The mount can also be seen on some other sunny day..LOL!!
A nice perspective and a nice note. Nice work in sepia.
Have a nice time

Hi Samrat,
the presence of mount K can bettered the frame, but I think the mood of this picture is very well presented. The presence is announced silently with the absence of it. Great presentation with sepia. Very well framed with the iron frame and the lady. Excellent work. Tfs.
Best wishes.

Hello Samrat
Happens so many times for us tourists...we had the same fate as well in our trips to the mountains! Sepia toning is quite apt here as shorn of colours this transpires a melancholic mood
Best,
Angshu
