Life In Dhotre, a photo from West Bengal, East

Photographer's Note

I took it in Dhotre, a small village in the route of Manebhanjang - Rimbik. We started our trek of Sandakphu from this place. Tonglu is only 6 km from here. The village is in the slope of hill.
It was about 2 pm, the local boys were playing, and the fog started to slide over the green top. It was too cool, no sun even in mid of noon. The whole atmosphere is so fine. Hope you like it.

It's a atmospheric shot in the Himalayas with really nice green hues. The contrasts work fine between the green and the red-brown road. What I would change is the focus, I would crop away the FG, which in my opinion is far to big. Either I would show the kids playing or I would show the landscape. There is nothing of big interest in the FG, that is the reason I would shot it differently. However you have been there so you must have your reasons. Otherwise your shot is fine and pleasing. Well done

giochi di bambini per la strada considerata l'assenza di traffico e foto che riporta a tanti anni indietro quando ragazzini si faceva lo stesso per certe strade allora tranquille delle nostre citt�.

Hello Subhendu,

Perhaps not easy without cars, but very good for health and pleasant without the smoke of the cars.
Forest and trees are always a very pleasant subject for take a good picture, lovely for look at, unique elements which gives life to the scene.

Probably not too heavy traffic since the kids use the road as playground, a nostalgic scene...

Nice one...the best part is the mist which seems to be in suspension. The road is used well as a lead-in, leading our eyes directly to theboys and then beyond
