Sleep, a photo from West Bengal, East

On my way to Mumbai, waiting for the Mumbai Mail at the Howrah rail station, I saw this guy, sleeping with divine disregard for commuters. His two friends sat by him, guarding his slumber so to say. Life went on colly around him. I went to the platform to entrain nearly an hour later. He slept on as I passed by.
Just changed the image to greyscale and emphasized highlights. The two friends are slightly out of focus. The 2.8 f-stop was unavoidable. Couldn't use flash.

Hello Salil,
I have checked your gallery and have found many interesting shots... very interesting ones. You show India from the perspective of an Indian man, and that is always very refreshing for my Western eyes ;-)
This shot is excellent, shows an India I could not even think of, just lying there, as you write, with "divine disregard" to the other commuters... amazing capture, with his brothers guarding his dream...
Very interesting capture of "daily life"!

somehow i did not pay attention to this one on my last few visits. once again it is quintessential india.

i think next time i am in kolkata i'll just grab you go hunting!!
