Photographer's Note
It was captured at Kalapokhri (11450 ft). It was the time when we completed our days trek and reached at this place during our Sandakphu (12000 ft) trek. The man in frame was the owner of our lodge. He was a nice and helpful man. You can see him in this shot making tea for us in a too cold afternoon, which was very much needed to us.
It was a small kitchen-cum-dining room with less ventilation. The light was not sufficient and smoke caused by burn of wood in oven created an adverse situation for photography. I had to use my flash but problem was the smoke particles. Hopefully it was not so bad. I like this frame. Hope you'll also like it.

Namaste Subhendu,
A trek like that is worth immortalizing; you did well capturing the sympathetic attitude of the owner and his classic cook stove. It must save a lot of energy to be able to feed the logs in as they burn.

Hello, we started evening, leaving yet another hot day.
Mountains are always cold, especially at night, built of old furnace gave a warm and peaceful sleep, a good time recording supported flash, beautiful photos.
It's nice to see and experience this, happily, Paja.

Hello Subhendu,
Good use of the flash in this interior where lighting is low. I think that it is necessary to be patient to have its cup of tea… A rustic but ecological boiling apparatus !!! Interesting memory of your trekking Subhendu, thank you.
With all my friendships and with soon,
