Mt. Kanchendzonga With Family, a photo from West Bengal, East

Photographer's Note

The first rays of sun while coloured Mt. Kanchedzonga it looks heavenly.I took it from Tonglu. It is 14 kms from Manebhanjang. There are common way to trek Manebhanjang to Sandakphu avoiding Tonglu, through Meghma - Tumling. To reach Tonglu you have to take the right side way from Meghma and go a stiff 2 km way. In the entire trek route the trekker's hut of Tonglu is the best one. There is no other hut for trekker in Tonglu. You can see a panorama of HIMALAYA from here. You can reach Tonglu through a short and easy route from Dhotre through a dense forest of Rhododendron. In spring the whole way ( Manebhanjang to Sandakphu ) dressed with different flowers and in winter some part of the way covered by snow.

a splendid panorama of the Himalayas from your good POV. The image depth is impressive.
I like the different stripes created by the hills in a nice range of grey, they are the introduction to the fantastic sight of the high mountains illuminated by the sunlight in background.

The exposure has been well handled. Like the layers as we go from the FG to the BG. A touch of PP, (similar to what I did in your last shot) would certainly enhance the beauty of this shot..or do check Indro's shots (of the Himalays) to see what PP can make a difference! But as a picture, this is very good!

excellent depth of field, I like a lot the different intensities of light from the FG to the BG. I believe that to see the sunrise on the Himalaya has to be really a show of the nature. Thank you for having shared it!

Kanchdzunga, then you have been in Darjeeling, I never got a sunrise, but once, in the mid 1980s I got a shot of the mountain when the fog suddenly opened up. Great sunrise, congrats. It's possibly a bit soft, but that is not so important, could be the downsizing. I like the vivid colors - well done

The glory of Himalaya!
