Hello Miguel,
So you are quickly back to India. ;-) This young lady is wearing rather discreet clothes, but to compensate for that she is selling the brightest red balloons. I like that she is so relatively isolated in the photo, with most people quite far behind. The glimpse of the Gateway of India provides a superb background. I like the soft colours and light.

A good photo of this balloon seller with those large red heart-shaped balloons in her hands. The large gate is well included in the backdrop as well.

A very nice scene, red, heart-shaped balloons are sold on Valentines Day in Europe, but I think this holiday is unknown in India :)

oh yes, the people selling items on the street...i've never been a big fan as they mostly sell low quality items that most people would never think of purchasing. this photo was taken 9 years ago, I wonder what has happened to this lady, if she has found a better way of life or not. interesting pic, I like it. cheers

Hello Miguel,
I was at the Gateway of India at Christmas time which was also a holiday period for Indian people. So the place was always crowded. That offered me lots of picturesque possibilities. At the back against the waterfront I notice here too a crowd of people.
This beautifully dressed lady selling the vivid red balloons in the shape of a heart was most probably the eye-catcher on the square.
You present her in an attractive way with the red ballons along her both sides while we still catch a glimpse of the monumental Gate of India.

A surprising sight this lady in a more or less traditional outfit who sells heart-shaped balloons on this tourist square.
Looking at her face, she doesn't like it very much.

She completely dominates the f/g and attracts greater attention because of the bright balloons that she is selling.
She is eager to make a sale and is completely unaware of you photographing her!

Muy bonita la figura de esta joven chica, vendiendo globos en la plaza del arco Triunfal de Bombay, tanto el rojo de los mismo que el precioso sari que lleva puesto, dan un bonito cromatismo a la imagen.
Colorido, nitidez y luminosidad est醤 captadas eficazmente.

I have stood almost at this spot 1998 But there we no Balloon girls. Again I must emphasize the amazing colors and designs of the sarees worn. The Indian designers are quite talented - unique to India like sarongs on the Arabian peninsula or kimonos of Japan. But for India these wonderful dresses are an everyday delight. I think I will take two balloons.
