The dying day, a photo from Uttarakhand, North

Photographer's Note

Sunset on Panchchuli (literally meaning the five peaks) from Munsyari in Uttarakhand.
The skyline of Munsyari is flanked by a host of majestic peaks including Chipla Kedar, Adi Kailash, Hansling, Rajrambha etc, all of which are indeginous to Kumaon (the division of Uttarakhand which Mynsyari belons to), however its the larger than life presence of the huge Panchchuli, that offers the best attraction.
This was shot on the day of Christmas....what can be a better Christmas gift than this!

What a treat to see how the dying rays of the sun illuminated the mountain tops. The pink clouds are also a good element of the scene. Good ida to crop into a letterbox format.
