Today on my eleventh anniversary in these pages, I want to offer you an image, I think different from what I usually climb, in this case it is a portrait of two flower vendors, caught in the streets of Tanjore.

In these years I have enjoyed and learned a lot together with all of you, with your images, which have sometimes served me in the preparation of my travels, it is beautiful the link of continuity that is established with any of you, through the images.

Tanjore, known as Thanjavur in the past, is an ancient city in the state of Tamil Nadu. It was built on the banks of the river Kaveri, and its name derives from the name of a demon "Tanjan an asura".
Despite this disturbing detail, it is a highly recommended destination, both for its myriad architectural beauties, and for the variety and richness of its traditions, which have made it the cultural capital of the state.

Hoy en mi undecimo aniversario en estas paginas, quiero ofreceros una imagen, creo que diferente a lo que suelo subir, en este caso se trata de un retrato de dos vendedoras de flores, captado en las calles de Tanjore.

En estos años he disfrutado y aprendido mucho junto a todos vosotros, con vuestras imágenes, que a veces me han servido en la preparación de mis viajes, es bonito el vinculo de continuidad que se establece con alguno de vosotros, atraves de las imágenes.

Tanjore, conocida como Thanjavur en el pasado, es una antigua ciudad del estado de Tamil Nadu. Fue construida sobre las márgenes del rio Kaveri, y su nombre deriva del nombre de un demonio “Tanjan an asura”.
Pese a este inquietante detalle, se trata de un destino altamente recomendable, tanto por su infinidad de bellezas arquitectónicas, como por la variedad y riqueza de sus tradiciones, que la han convertido en la capital cultural del estado.
