Photographer's Note

Although it looks quite invincable, the fort was capytured several times and changed rule betweeen Mughal (Muslim) and Mewar (Hindu) rule frequently. The last time it was destroyed and depopulated and remained so till present times.

Hello Gerrit,
It's a beautiful scenery with interesting ruins in the foreground. The note explains the dramatic history of this place. The photo is well composed and I like the pastel colours of the fields lined with trees.

The view in this direction is much more nice than the other direction with the smoking industry.
It is a well balanced photo with this part of the fort as foreground of this nice landscape.

The fort was certainly in a spectacular setting wide wide views for spotting threats. A good photo of the ruins and surrounds.

Prachtig zicht vanop de muren van het fort op de wijde omgeving.
Aangenaam om toch heel wat groene velden te zien.
Terwijl ik ooit in Rajasthan was tijdens het regenseizoen kan ik het me niet echt als groen herinneren.

Beautiful view from this high point. Remains of the old fortress and the background landscape are in good balance. I guess this place is not often visited by Europeans.
