Photographer's Note

Some parts of Chittorgarh - the largest fort in Asia - are filled with remains of temples, houses and fortifications but in the corners of the 6km long fort there are also places that are almost empty.

Goedenavond Gerrit,

Het lijkt me merkwaardig dat iedereen de streek verlaat.
En de kleine mooie tempels zomaar achterlaat.
Als bezoeker moet dit wel zeer raar klinken, wanneer men in dergelijk dorp terecht komt.
Maar voor uw foto is het een meegenomen moment.
Prachtig foto werk, bedankt.

Prachtige foto van deze kleine tempel aan de waterkant.
Mooie compositie met de boom en zijn overhangende takken.
Even mooi zijn de weerspiegelingen van de takken op de tempelmuur en -zuilen.

Fortunately you included the lone tree in your setup to exchange dialog lines with the abandoned Chittor :)
The visual interrelation between the two eye catchers creates a nice visual balance to your photo.

Have you travelled there on bike? I can't imagine it in the Indian chaotic traffic. But this place is very quiet. Why I haven't been to Chittorgarh, i wonder. It was not far from Udaipur. Probably I haven't heard about it.
