Photographer's Note
That woman coming from the state of Karnataka is selling hammocks at Anjuna flea-market.
This market is a major attraction for people from all the Goan beaches. Tibetan and Kashmiri trader, Gujarati in colourful clothes women and people from Karnataka gather here. You can get anything from a second-hand paperback to a haircut, from jewellery to carvings,T-shirts,sarongs or lungis, spices and almost anything else you can think of. Bargaining is an exciting part of the experience.
Stalls are set up at the market in the morning and remain open until sunset.
Hope You like it...

Another great photo from you, Marilyn. I really like the colors here, and the curved horizontal lines formed by the hammocks. (By coincidence I've been to this same Anjuna market). A very good composition, well done! Regards,
Ryno

Bonjour Marilyn,

The vibrancy of all the colours is wonderful. The central position of the lady seems to be causing some comment, but I think it works rather well as she fits into the curve of the background hammocks.

Bonsoir Marilyn.
I like very much the vertical composition and the wide DOF, with all those hammocks on the upper part of the image. It is almost like two photos in one.
The colors are superb.
Have a great weekend,
Amicalement, saludos,

Bonjour Marilyn

Hi Marylin,
You really got a variety of good scenes in this market. I liked this one that brings such beautiful and intense colors from the women clothes and also from the hammocks that are also forming colorful arcs. Great POV and good contrast.
Take care

Bonjour Marilyn,
Although I find your last post interesting with an atractive example of the Portuguese architecture, this one attracts me more. Markets are a fantastic place to know the true culture of a country and it's allways a must in my trips. I really have to post several photos that I have, even if not in the best quality...
Anyway, this is a marvellous composition, so full of colours and with a lovely atmosphere. I specially like the backstage of the scene, with the people and those colourful hammocks providing dynamism to the composition and a wonderful graphic background. Excellent one!
Merci,
Amitiés,
Ricardo

Hi Marilyn,
I like it a lot. First of all the colours...there are so many of them - and I like how the woman brakes the horizontal lines of the hanging hammocks.
So you live there......does that mean that it's possible to "order" a subject :O) If so then I would LOVE to see a close up of one of the many beautiful Indian women :O)
:) Tina

Ciao Marilyn!
A lovely composition of many colors, and an interesting everyday scene!
I like the group of people looking to leftside, and the lady in the middle of the picture, looking at you, with the background of her colored stuff.
Brava!

Bonjour Marilyn
A good portrait with lots of colours. The hammocks also provide good graphism with their curves. I'm OK with the central positioning of the subject here, primarily because of the hammocks

Amicalement a toi
Branko
