Photographer's Note

Besides fresh seafood, dried and salted fish dishes are also highly prized by Goans.
While Hindu Goan food does not seem to have picked up any major Portuguese influence, the Christian food has been influenced not only by the Portuguese, but also by its overseas colonies.
Goan food is simple but most, though not all, of it is chili hot, spicy, and pungent. Items made from rice, fish, and coconut abound in nearly every Goan meal.

Encore une sc鑞e typique de l'Inde, j'aime beaucoup la vieille moto et l'ombrelle que tiens cette femme. Mais dis-donc le poisson ne va pas rester frais longtemps par cette chaleur!

Ol� Marylin, this is kind of a funny capture because of the dark umbrella, which is only protecting her face. Her body is all exposed at the strong sunlight. But I also like other details as the dog and the old motocycle, which seems to be there for some time. The whole composition is excellent and the strong light is well managed, with some parts in the edge of becoming overexposed. Good work!

Wonderful subject for a photograph with her unusual pose and the umbrella which leaves the fish out in the sun, but what gives it the edge are all the other details. Especially remarkable are the shadows of the trees on the wall; It looks like a mural. Good work.

A good daily life photo. Love the inclusion of the relaxed dog to the left. I don't know many people who are very fond of dried fish as it's salty (it could be an acquired taste). But thanks to the process of drying, surplus fish could be kept longer. Happy New Year. Danilo

Quant il y'a un tel soleil, je suis toujours sceptique quant au r閟ultat, parceque les ombres sont trop noires, et les reste trop 閏lair�, il faut bien balancer les deux contrastes. Mais ici il semble que tu as surmont� cet handicap, et que tout marche bien. j'aime bien le chien qui fait le poids de l'autre c魌�. Bravo - et bon Dimanche - Izzet

This composition is great, Marilyn. I love all the details here: the dog, the motorcycle, the lady with it's umbrella, the blue plastic with the fishes and the basket with fishes. I guess that the lady needs the umbrella, otherwise she will end up just as the fishes - dry. She sun must be horribly intense.
