Photographer's Note
In Harajuku station, while waiting for the subway, I was looking for someone using his/her mobile phone. I noticed that woman who also noticed me with my camera. She didn't try to hide. She just looked at me and still talked in the phone. Then the subway arrived and she vanished in the crowd.

Odd. The look on her face feels as if she could be in a spy movie or making an urgent / dangerous call (in my imagination)
I like the thing on the side, is it a wall or a lamp? but it looks good because it adds to the drama or the effect of the picture.

I like this photo very much. The direct eye contact and expression on her face makes this photo special. The B&W effect makes colour less of a distraction (I assumed she was wearing something colourful since the Harajuku are is known for outrageous costumes.)

Great candid shot. The B & W works well here. Great DOF. Her face and hand are sharp and clear, but the charms (?) hanging off the phone and the background are just a bit blurreed. Great expression on her face too.

Beatiful woman for a beatiful girl. Good exponent of keitai genertion. The B&W gives to the image a very good atmosphere.

Excellent framing and good in black and white too. The direct look into her eyes really makes this photo.

I like this photo because of the wonderfull expression of the womans face and the over all softness of the photo. Very well composed and you cropped it in a nice way.

She's really pretty ! just crop the top of the pic a little above the top of the head in the background so that we can't escape from her straight look. Why would we like to? but there's a small arrow showing the way up and our very disciplined vision follows the way...
Once the crop done, her arm and right cheek will form a perfect diagonal.
Interested in more mobile shots? look at
this, done by Magnum's craziest photog. I think it will also fulfill your keitai interest.

Well titled, it really looks like shes at a party or somewhere and about to say that. Her look makes the photo. Good use of B&W.

Good composition and the W&B is suitable for such a portrait.
I really like this capture.
Amazing to see the kind of gadget she has on her phone :)

What a natural looking picture, and lovely tones of BW too. What I like best , is the fact that although she looks at the photographer, it is obvious that her mind is with the person she talks to. A fine candid photograph.

Hi, Stephane!
A good catch! Very typical with the cellphone jewelery and the collapsable phone. I feel that the framing is a bit tight at the sides, yet plenty of space at the top. Is there possible the crop it in another way?

Bonjour Stéphane,
Voici un portrait N et B très bien traité. Le cadrage est intéressant et les contrastes bien marqués en laissant une palette de gris tout à fait judicieuse sur le visage. Merci pour le partage. Gérard

It's a great shot, no question. You've caught her in a great pose, with all the perfect accessories going on there...the fur collar, dangling little critters off the cell phone...and the highlights in her hair. You definetly found the perfect cell phone user!
