Photographer's Note

Somebody said me that these builders of the Sanctuary of Truth are from Myanmar. Probably, it is just an economic reason.

The building of Sanctuary of Truth was constructed according to ancient Thai originality and every square inch of the building is covered with wooden carve sculpture. The purposes of decoration with wooden carve sculptures are to use art and culture as the reflection of Ancient Vision of Earth, Ancient Knowledge, and Eastern Philosophy. Within this complex, visitors will understand Ancient Life, Human Responsibility, Basic Thought, Cycle of living, Life Relationship with Universe and Common Goal of Life toward Utopia.

Man cannot be born and exist without seven creators. Sanctuary of Truth, Pattaya presents seven creators through carved wood sculptures which adorn its interior. They are Heaven, Earth, Father, Mother, Moon, Sun and Stars. On top of the four spires of the Sanctuary of Truth, Pattaya, the four elements that will lead to the ideal world according to eastern philosophy are presented.

Hello Serghei - I do like your POV with the sculpture nicely positioned in the FG beyond which we see the artisans (like so many the world over) scratching heads or looking rather puzzled about the problem! An interesting and informative not to accompany a good DL image. Warm regards Rosemary

Hi Serghei,

Unfortunately the place is under construction, but you have make it a documentary of the process as well as daily life image. The stone carving and statues are of the same style as in Cambodia, a mixture of Hindu and Bhudist culture.

Good quality photo from a good POV.

Working people to rebuilt the statue and shrine, under good light and fine clearity, Serghei.
Maybe a 2 or 3 meters POV to the right, you could avoid the intense light on upper-part of the image.

very beautiful image. I liked the framing with the precious sculpture in the foreground , the workmen ahead and many carvings and pieces of timber waiting for the right place.I would like to cut off something the upper side.nice image, well done.
