She has got mango fruit.

The mango is a fleshy stone fruit belonging to the genus Mangifera, consisting of numerous tropical fruiting trees in the flowering plant family Anacardiaceae. The mango is native to the Indian subcontinent from where it spread all over the world. It is one of the most cultivated fruits of the tropical world. While other Mangifera species (e.g. horse mango, M. foetida) are also grown on a more localized basis, Mangifera indica � the common mango or Indian mango � is the only mango tree commonly cultivated in many tropical and subtropical regions, and its fruit is distributed essentially worldwide.

Nice "action" photo. The mangos are very good in Southeast Asia but even better in India, especially the Bombay Mango (now grown in many other countries outside India. Well captured and composed. Square format showing a bit more from this fruit shop would be also very nice. Well done Serghei.

Hello Serghei,
The mangoes look terrific and their cost is probably just a fraction of what it would be in northern Europe. Not to mention that the taste would be so much better in Thailand. Didn't she also buy any mangosteen, the little brown/purple ones, my own personal favourites?
A really nice picture with lots of colours and a woman in a natural pose as she studies the quality of the next mango.

I am not so sure this is a post about mango, or even fruit at all, but I may be wrong....

But whatever the reason, it is an interesting picture of a daily life, either for the local, or more probably the tourist.

And I did appreciate all the info about mangos, really !

Nice street candid from Pattaya which is quite near to my hometown at the North of Malaysia. Fruits are abundant in this rich agricultural part of Asia. Lovely details of this lady picking up ripe yellow mangoes.

Very nice shot of the market scene, I love seeing all the tropical fruites, I miss them, some of these can not be found here in the U.S. Mangoes is one of my favorite fruite. There are so many different kind to choose from in Thailand.
