Photographer's Note

A capture of Tashkent on a cold late afternoon winter light backed by the snowy Chimgan mountain range with clear skies that really caught my eye. I know that I have to make an image out of this, since there was still enough golden glow to lift the scene.

Setting: 78 mm, 1/125 sec, F9, ISO Raw 200, 1623 hrs, cropped some negative space on top and polarised

Hi abmdsudi,

The light on the buildings and the distant mountains looks great here. It looks like a telephoto shot, making the mountains appear closer than they really are.

Hello Abmdsudi,

I agree with you, the light was so beautiful, giving a golden hue to the buildings, that it just had to be photographed!
The silvery tops to the mountains, helps to carry the interest from the building right into the b/g.
Everything looks great against the blue hour sky.

A splendid nocturnal composition of this art of the city, with that series of buildings in line and all in the same style, the snow-filled mountain range completes the view very well and gives that winter touch.
Beautiful composition, great color, light and sharpness is excellent.
