Photographer's Note

A street candid of an ethnic Black Hmong seller in Sapa bustling market as I passed by this scene, It was pack and almost impossible to hold the camera up steadily to take a shot before being bumped into or have people walk into your shot. I would liked to have been able to take my time over the shots and taken more but had no choice and move on that I only managed just one hurried shot of her.....

This was the guesstimate grab shot without looking at the viewfinder, perhaps of no photographic merit ??

Wow, it takes truly great skill to take just one grab shot and get it right. This is amazing. You can see, you can feel the vibrant bustling of the market in this image. Sometimes a photo is better than a video. The mix of colours is breath-taking and the contrast between the modern parasol and the traditional textiles adds yet another layer to the image.

A good portrait of this woman, captured from very close range and in a hurry, as we understand from your note, which explains the circumstances in which you took the photo. The colours and textures are still very clearly visible as well.

hello abmd, I do not buy any souvenirs from my journeys. What to do with them later? So I am quite immune and can look at the things sold on the markets without spending money. The only exceptions are table clothes. Usually, I buy something. Nice quick shot.
