Photographer's Note
Hà Nôi. Old Quarter. One of the most lively and unusual places. I'll be back this autumn and this time I'll spend one week in this amazing city.
In the 13th Century Hà Nôi's 36 guilds established themselves here, each taking a different street - hence the original name '36 streets', but I think there are now more than 50 streets. I learned that 'hang' means merchandise and followed by the name of the product, you can easily know what to buy; Hang Dan - wooden bowls, Hang Bo - baskets, Han Chai - bottles, Hang Dau - beans or oils, etc. etc.
But what I loved are the trees along all the streets and no matter if it's busy, narrow streets, traffic, merchandise, homes, doesn't matter, the trees are there, impressive. When you come out of the old quarter you are in the Hoam Kien Lake, the heart, the centre of Hà Nôi.

Ola Roser,
I'm grade they let the trees a chance to survive, sometimes when nature get in the way of life, they just get rid of it in parts of some poor country without regards to the importance of balance, like deforrestation for farming and cuting down trees for woods. At least nature are also recover with human's help. Beautiful daily life scene in Vietnam, I'm trying to learn Vietnamese so when I go there in the next few years, I can somewhat communicate. Thank Roser, Un saludo, mi amigo.

Hola, Roser.
The sky didn't help you none, but on the other hand I don't recall ever seeing any real sunshine in those country, it always looks grey. The important thing is that you managed anyway to capture a sizzling, effervescent Hanoi streetcorner daily-life with that magnificent tree on top of it to steal the show. Truthful, colorful, highly dynamic. TFS! You have a good day, I'll be seeing you. Hasta la proxima,
Fulvio.
