Photographer's Note
.
I landed Hanoi a few hours ago, and was having a few more hours prior to boading the night train to Lao Cai on my way to Yuanyang, China with two other TrekEarth members.
Nhiem picked me up at Vietnam Airlines and dropped me off at the "36-street Old Quater", "let's wash your eyes through the crowd and call me when you ready for dinner..."
So I made the first shot that offered me flowers and gave me the title as well, Welcome to Ha Noi.
"Thank you, Ha Noi!"

Hello Thahn, nicely framed this one,all the elements work harmoniously together and you have that lucky sign right there to hang the story on. Hope you are enjoying your stay.
I will be in Saigon April 26, 27, then Hoi An for 4 days and back to Saigon for one night on May 2.
Best wishes,
Francis

Hi Thanh,
It is quite a busy composition but I like it for the daily 'street-life' feel in it.
Thank you for the 'welcome'... waiting to explore a bit more of the city.
Kind regards.

I have never been to Hanoi, but I've got the feeling that without the status of noisy, crowdy and complicated traffic, the city may lose its own face and life. If my concept has some ground, this is a "must-shot" photo.
Until someone tells me I am wrong, I appreciate this journalistic picture, although the welcome poster has been there for President Bush before "WTO", not for you my friend ;)
Cheers!
GJ
