For my final photos from this revisit to the Hoi An region here is a pair of partly overgrown temples at the ancient Champa temple complex inland from Hoi An. I'll revisit other parts of Vietnam at a later date.
The first workshop shows one of the temples in danger of collapse that has had to be propped up.
The second workshop shows another display My Son sculptures, rescued before the complex was bombed, in the very interesting Da Nang museum.

Hi Ian,
All covered with the green, like in my photo here:https://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Asia/Vietnam/South_Central_Coast/Quang_Nam/My_Son/photo1345447.htm.
Beautiful view of these ruins covered with vegetation.
Best regards MAlgo

Hi Ian
Really interesting set of shots, very educational and interesting with the crumbling stonework surrounded by the greenery and a sense of peace. Your lovely narrative helps to bring it all to life. Congrats

Bonjour, cher Ian,
Ces temples semblent vouloir résister à la végétation envahissante et marquer leur splendeur du passé.
Très bonne mise en image.
Amitiés.

Hello Ian,
Three fascinating views. Seeing the ruins almost taken over by nature stimulates my imagination. The propped up ruins in the WS are a rather sad view. The beautiful museum pieces in the other WS show us what an impressive place this was.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Ian,
Three excellent instructive photos that clearly show the devastating effect of the forces of nature on the one hand and on the other hand also the human war violence on these historical gems.
Excellent presentation
Have a nice Sunday, Groet Rob

Hello Ian,
Some more indications of the restorative powers of Nature. It's easy to see how ruins can become engulfed by vegetation and, without records, can disappear! Fortunately there will be sufficient visual and written records for these to be catalogued.
Your clear photographs show just what an impact has been felt by this region, with overgrown sites, collapsing sites and intricate statues removed from their settings for safety!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Ian,
The vegetation is framing well the temple. The point of view is showing the details of the ruins of the Champa temple. The light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Ian,
Your photo series on Hoi An and nearby My Son make it clear to me that the advice I was given not to go there was clearly wrong. Of course I visited other interesting places in Vietnam.
But this is a very good and convincing series.
Your main photo shows well how nature can advance and if it is left undisturbed, can overgrow everything again.
In addition, a visit to the museum in Da Nang is a must.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Ian,
A fantastic overview of this place. The brownish tones of the ancient architecture make a great mix with the different shades of green, ranging from the bright green grass, to the darker tones of the trees. Very well done.

Hi Ian,
This looks similar to some parts of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. The jungle is slowly reclaiming the ruins. Good sharpness and framing. Tfs!

Ian, these ruins are invaded by the luxuriant tropical vegetation. Grass and shrubs are growing on the old stones. They weaken that historical site. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hello Ian,
I was in Hoi An, of course I've to go to see it.
You were there in rainy season, I see it's so greenery, everywhere. Feel fresh and cool.
To go inside to the temple at the entrance , was exciting and fun with the little shuttle ride through the jungle.
All your photos showing the ruin temples in great ancient atmospheric in deep dark colours structures by the rain and over growth of natures in every gaps of walls. So beautiful and refreshing.
Thanks for sharing.
