The ultimate "nothing special"?, a photo from Ho Chi Minh, South East

Not the usual tourist pic of HCMC, but we like to get off the beaten track, and there was a lovely flower market a couple of hundred metres further on. If you look at the workshop, you'll see this very location, a screen-grab taken from Google Maps, utilising the Little Yellow Man. I like the ladies gossiping in the foreground, and the man stoically working away making pans in his workshop. But nothing special, of course...

Hello Will,
It's the kind of view one can see 100 times a day off the worst tourist tracks in a major Vietnamese city, so I guess I will have to agree with the title of this photo. However, it should be regarded as fairly special that a tourist bothers to take a photo like this. There are lots of odd details to watch, but the not totally perfect crop indicates it's a very quick snapshot.

I am real surprised that the women with nice and clean clothes.
When I see the houses, must also are for you a surprice.

Hello Will, We see you so rarely here. Very interesting scene from Hoshimin City, showing just the ordinary life. Fantastic nothing special type. we observe the women chatting about daily life problem and also the interior of the house of maybe workshop. Superb composition.

Hello Will, an excellent observation of everyday life in the city.
There are some lovely details; what is the young woman going to do with her conical hat? Why are two sets of weighing scales on the pavement? Fascinating.

I really like how that 'wall' separates the inside and the outside and in the meantime the left side and the right side of the photograph. On the left side the man is occupied by his chores, while the women on the right are having a casual conversation.

Oh yes, I enjoy these very much. These glimpses into everyday life from far away places. and I like it because its grimey and gritty, not the touristy type of shot. this is real life.
