Photographer's Note
Again, another photo of the Hawkesworth Bridge, representing the last piece of road needed to connect Belize with Guatemala. It was built in 1949, is named after Sir Edward Gerald Hawkesworth, former governor of British Honduras, and spans the Macal River.
It is to this day the only drivable suspension bridge in the country and connects San Ignacio with Santa Elena on the other side of the river. Together this makes the second largest urban area of Belize with a population of around 20,000 people. Bikes are not allowed on the bridge, so this guy was in a real hurry. In the background you can see San Ignacio, with the police station to the left.

Hello,
This bridge scene is even more enjoyable, showing the entire structure. The biker is a bonus. Well taken scene.
