Managua is the capital city of Nicaragua, located on the southwestern shore of the Lake Managua. It is the largest city of the country with a population of 1 050 000 inhabitants within the city limits, and 1 337 000 in the metropolitan 醨ea, which additionally includes the municipalities of Ciudad Sandino, El Crucero, Mindir�, Ticuatepe and Tipitapa.
It was a pre-Columbian village and during the Colonial period became a town. In 1846 was declared a city and in 1852 was declared the national capital.

Hola Pedro,
I only remember Managua from the news, back in the time of the conflict with the USA and the revolution.
So it is very interesting to see this picture, a wide scope and vividly colorful town.

I haven't seen a photo of Managua before on TE, so thanks for this fine shot and good note. It looks like a genial and attractive city in this shot, with lots of vegetation and not too many tall buildings. I like those brightly coloured tree sculptures! Well done.

Strange trees in vivid colours on the foreground :)
But honestly this capital seems to have a lot of greenery in between the buldings.
Perhaps this is a suburb?
Is Managua an interesting city?

It's very interesting to see a view of Managua. I like those colorful artistic trees, and all the actual greenery everywhere. I took a good look at all the buildings, and, of course, I noticed the McDonald's sign, too. Nice POV.
