Photographer's Note

Here I am trying another return after an absence of almost one year... I will try to stay and fight my lazyness because I really miss the good times I had in this site, the people I knew here, the critics and everything else that helped me a lot regaining the joy of photography and made me evolve both technically and aesthetically.

This one was taken last month at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Meritxell (Mare de D閡 de Meritxell in Catalan), the sanctuary of the patron saint of Andorra. The original church was built in the Middle Ages (12th century?) and was rebuilt in the 16th century, but it was destroyed by a fire in 1972. The actual building was designed by by the Catalan architect Ricardo Bofill and inaugurated in 1976.

Hello Jose,
So good to see you back. I must say I haven't been as active all the time as I wanted to be since my own return last year, so I understand what you say. Lovely view down the road with the large arches looking impresive. I wonder what the lonely hooded figure is doing over there.

Hello Jose,
welcome back after your long-term absence with this superb scenery from Andorra.Good side view of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Meritxell with the arches to lead-in the eyes to the foggy mountain on the backdrop creating depth and perspective in the scene.The man adds scale in the scene.

Eu tamb閙 tenho sido assim, 鄐 vezes fico ausente da p醙ina mas acabo voltando! Mas acho que � um v韈io muito bom! Muito interessante a arquitetura desse lugar, com os arcos dando um efeito muito bonito � imagem, e fotografados com muito boa perspectiva! A pessoa serve como uma excelente escala � foto! Belo trabalho!

Excellent presentation of the place . Modern , but using the traditional stones that we can see in old buldings in Andorra . The result is quite interesting .

Chosen a wonderful perspective, the high arches gave a grand gateway looking down the trough onto the sherer cliff of the mountain far ahead.
Local stones built edifice shown in fine clarity and texture.
