The fogg over Graz. I took this view from Schlossberg.
It looks like a town somewhere in time. Without signgs of an industry and modernn urbanism.

Graz is the second-largest city in Austria after Vienna and the capital of the federal state of Styria. It has a population of 291,890 as of 2010
Graz has a long tradition as a student city: its six universities have more than 44,000 students. Graz's "Old Town" is one of the best-preserved city centres in Central Europe.

Politically and culturally, Graz was for centuries more important for Slovenes than Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, and still remains influential.

In 1999, Graz was added to the UNESCO list of World Cultural Heritage Sites, which was extended in 2010 by Schloss Eggenberg. Graz was sole Cultural Capital of Europe for 2003 and has got the title of a City of Culinary Delights in 2008.

Due to its position southeast of the Alps, Graz is shielded from the prevailing westerly winds that bring weather fronts in from the North Atlantic to northwestern and central Europe. Due to this factor the weather in Graz is Mediterranean influenced. Graz therefore has more hours of sunshine per year than Vienna or Salzburg and also less wind or rain. Graz lies in a basin that only opens to the south, causing the climate to be warmer than would be expected at that latitude. Plants are found in Graz that normally grow much further south. However, this milder, less windy climate is detrimental to the air quality in Graz as it makes the city prone to smog in winter. The exhaust fumes of the around 120,000 cars driven into Graz every weekday by people living in the surrounding areas, together with the car journeys made by the inhabitants of Graz itself, are the most significant source of air pollution.

Hello Serghei ,
The mist is truly a "friend" for the photographer . Great effect here , with the luminous red roofs in the Fg , and the almost hidden church in the BG . The POV is excellent .

That's another very beautiful cityscape picture! The fog, once more, added a special mood to this image and you really knew how to work with that!

Получился очень хороший портрет Граца. Он действительно выглядит, как город вне времени или задержавшийся в средних веках. Мне очень нравятся такие города-музеи. На твоем снимке он выглядит очень романтично еще и благодаря туману. Похоже, что поездка по Австрии была удачной по количеству впечатлений и хороших снимков.

Какое CRESCENDO ! ! ! Только музыкальное восклицание и пришло в голову при виде этого цветового богатства, деликатно, но богато! - По нарастающей, из легкой дымки до тональностей охры! А ты сумел это заметить!!! В этом - то и заслуга хорошего фотографа!
Кстати, о нашем дяденьке Эндрю, что мы с тобой обсуждали, зайди посмотри, каких два черно-белых шедевра заварганил! а многие на него и внимание не обращали(за исключением нашего зоркого-опытного глаза, естестна ;о)
