Distant Dachstein, a photo from Upper Austria, East

Photographer's Note

The glaciers and peaks of the Dachstein mountains are seen here in this telephoto shot taken from Feuerkogel, near Ebensee. Feuerkogel is a peak on the Hollengebirge plateau at the southern end of the mountain lake called Traunsee. You can get there by taking a cable car from the town of Ebensee on the lake shore. There are several walking tracks and many lookouts on the plateau, with views all around. The mountains were a bit hazy so I used HDR in Photoshop to make them stand out more.

Amazing panorama indeed.
My first impression was, hmm pity that Vincent didn't do some HDR to make the mountains to stand out better, then I read your note and realized they were probably even more pale...
Excellent spot, it is like a contrast of two seasons with the green hill in the foreground,
