Market Ghent 揊riday Market

On this square, in the past centuries, most of the public political and social life took place. Here princes were solemnly received, feasts celebrated and vetes settled. Except for the 15th century, all buildings on the Vrijdagmarkt from the 18th century, the monumental socialist public house (Ons Huis, Bond Moyson) date from the beginning of the 20th century.
Even now this large, open market square buzzes with activity. On sunny days, the square is surrounded by terraces as it were. Every Friday morning and Saturday afternoon the market vendors stow their goods.
