Hallo John,
Deze plek in Gent kan ik me goed herinneren, ik meen dat de eerste foto die ik ooit van Gent uploadde hier ook genomen was. Een mooi plein met verspreid verschillende mensen die de foto levendig maken. Het zachte licht is ook prettig. Alvast een fijne jaarwisseling gewenst.

Hello John,
On the sides of the square, near the beautiful old houses, we see market stalls attracting customers. All over the square small groups of people are evenly distributed, which serves your composition very nicely. The mainly very light clouds gave you a fine light and attractive colours. Everything we see has created a pleasant atmosphere. You end this year in a good mood, and I wish you too a happy and healthy 2018.

Fab market square. Must be so inspiring to see this huge lively place from good shooting point that easily catches the eyes along with its wonderful imposing old architecture all round and some vibrant colour scheme to finish with. Your photos of Gent always bring back memories. In fact, we celebrated the new year in Gent in 2006. I can certainly remember the Friday market square, which is splendidly presented in this wide angle view. What a magnificent array of architecture shown here, and throughout Gent.

Hello John, my guess is that this view has not changed in the last 10 years; take away the van, it is timeless.
I never tire of seeing the architecture from your part of the world, and the distinctive roof lines look great against the beautiful sky.

Hallo John, it was maybe the beginning of the market day and the place receives few customers at the time of the click. I see some stalls selling clothes. The wonderful architecture draws attention. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.
