Sint Laureins a famer area, but a very quiet place.

Tuesday morning start of a beautiful day.
This week is exceptional in terms of weather, we have been breaking the heat record since 1870 almost every day.
My bike ride led me to Sint Laureins, one kilo meter from the Dutch border.
But along the Leopold Canal, next to this canal, new dirt roads have been constructed for riders and carriages.
After a bit of waiting, I saw a carriage coming, with two black horses.
This was the moment for me to take a picture, with a wide-angle-lens, so that I could capture the canal and the horses in one image.
It is up to the viewers to give their opinion.

I hope you enjoy my photo as a visitor.

Hello John,
This carriage was worth waiting for. I suppose you saw it already at a distance so you had plenty of time to get ready. The horses complement the nice view of the canal and the usual row of trees. The weather really looks fantastic, but I see you will be back at normal temperatures next week. The photo is wonderfully sharp and the colours are really beautiful.

Hi John,
A surprising spring picture. The canal and trees create strong perspective. Reflections on the water look good, although there isn't much visible. And that old two horse carriage is really something one wouldn't expect to see.

What an interesting scene!
You have used all your skill to create a scene with an excellent, long perspective, with fine details of trees and reflections, and then, have added this splendid, horse-drawn cart as a strong f/g, focal point.

Op deze prachtige foto heb je enkele van je lievelingsthema's kunnen combineren: de lange rij bomen met een uitstekende weerspiegeling in het kanaal en een paardenkoets met passagiers.
Genomen op 殚n van die bijzonder mooie vroege lentedagen waar we momenteel van kunnen genieten.
Perfect scherp en helder. Een foto van hoge kwaliteit.

The length of the canal is creating depth. The point of view is showing the details of the carriage with the horses and of the trees. The light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello John, the carriage, horses and people are a lovely feature of this scene. The horses are moving, and there is no blur, well done.
The beautiful blue sky we see reflected in the canal with the perfect reflections of the trees.

Prachtige foto van het mooie lenteweer van deze week met een staalblauwe lucht als achtergrond voor de velden, het pad en de rij bomen langs de vaart. Paard-en-wagen staan er ook goed op aan de linkerkant.

What a beautiful picture, a perfectly blue sunny day, without a single cloud in the sky. Apparently quite a cold day, but certainly incredible for taking beautiful pictures. If you aged this photo and told people that it was taken in the 18th century, no one would suspect, because in fact the scene is reminiscent of the past.

Hello John,
It was worth waiting and you got the timing just right.
The 'horse-carriage' is about parallel the 'trees-line' and the long canal with the reflection.
I like seeing the 'plattelandsbevolking' on the hazy horizon, not a single cloud in the sky.
Very well seen and captured shot. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
