ADEGEM between Bruges and Ghent

In Flanders many old farms are being bought up by protected people, the young farmers can no longer buy them, the prices are too high

But for the environment it is really an enrichment

When you think of an old, dilapidated farm, you can only think of knocking it down and building something new on it. But luckily there are still great architects who see the potential in such a farm, and make the most of it by completely modernizing it.
The old farm with modern architecture, very nicely done.
Really worth it!

Hello John,
This photo has a very good sharpness, which is even more obvious in a larger version. It is a nice memory of a warm and sunny day in summer a few years ago. It's well composed with the large tree and the white building as the strongest focal points, while the road and the hedge create nice depth. The colours and clarity are really beautiful.

PS There are 23.000 electric kick-bikes in Stockholm, so they are found everywhere. It is almost impossible to avoid them, so I try to use them for my own benefit by making them parts of my compositions.

Hallo John,
De baan die naast de tuin loopt, zorgt voor veel diepte in het beeld.
De foto vertoont de mooie zomerse kleuren.
Helderheid en scherpte zijn perfect.
Je nam de foto in juli maar het valt me op dat de meest dichtbije boom geen vol gebladerte heeft (zoals de andere bomen verder weg). Je kan doorheen de takken de lucht zien.

I think what you are seeing in Belgium is exactly what I see in England, old properties are being valued for their style and history and are being modernised internally but the exterior is being maintained.
Your photograph is crisp and sharp, showing good colours on this bright summer's day.
As always, you find a fine viewpoint to get the very best photograph of the scene.

A beautiful plot next to the road, the house looks very new but charming and contrasts with what the wooden shed looks like, the large well positioned tree adds a lot of charm to the composition.
