Today a visit to Bruges but what a day, always rain, I抳e made different pictures.
The Boniface Bridge (The Love Bridge)
This is truly one of the most beautiful places in Bruges that we know. The romantic Bonifacius Bridge, nicknamed the Love Bridge, is located between Gruuthuse and the Arentshof.
This young couple could also celebrate their engagement here, spoke English, but I didn't ask where from.
Many think that this is the oldest bridge in Bruges, but this is absolutely untrue. she dates from 1910.
It is built of brick and natural stone. Benches have been installed on the inside of the parapet. This bridge is named after Saint Boniface (an Ice Saint) whose remains are in the Church of Our Lady.
I hope you like it.

Hello John, the walls of the bridge lead us to the heart of the picture and the beautiful buildings that could only belong to Bruges.
A rather grey day but that does not spoil our impression.
The couple on the bridge make a good focal point.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello John,
We don't actually see so much of the bridge, but it fills the foreground well and it's nice to see two people standing on it hugging and kissing each other. They explain why it is called the Love Bridge. You timed this photo well. ;-) However, the beautiful buildings dominate the view, and they are also worth a good look. It seems there had been rain, and the light was a bit dull, but you still managed a clear and distinct photo.
Best regards,
Gert

Hallo John,
Vele groeten, Paul

Hi John,
The presence of the couple is animating the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the bbridge of the buildings and of Our Lady church. The cloudy sky does not hurt the colors output. Have a nice day.

Hi John
Lovely old architecture as seen from this pov on a grey day, showing wonderful features all round. That bit of 'love bridge' stands out as strong point of interest binding together and lovely human interaction to finish off. An appealing capture.

A good one with all those classic Bruges buildings. A great bonus having a couple making the bridge live up to its name.

Good morning John,
A POV from the foot of the bridge, with the spearing tower dominating the scene.
A fine outcome despite the clouds aloft.
Have a nice sunday,
Ike

Hi John,
I like to share fresh photos and too often I face this problem: rain or bad weather. You have well dealt with that here.
I can recognise the Bruges cathedral.
You managed to well preserve the pattern of clouds in the sky which gives it a realistic touch.
Nice perspective and resulting geometry.
Very well done,
M

Hello John,
We don't actually see much of the bridge but the converging lines of its sides act like a funnel, guiding us towards the romantic couple (reinforcing the name of the bridge) and then, towards the beautiful, religious buildings, in the b/g.
Though the sky is overcast, and you mention rain, the details of the buildings are still pin sharp.
WE are suffering with lots of rain, at the moment. October has begun very wet!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hallo John,
Dankzij de lage hoek van de foto zien zowel de huizen als de kerktoren er extra indrukwekkend uit. De vele details van de stenen gevels zijn erg mooi en steken goed af tegen de bewolkte lucht. Mooi werk.

Hallo John
The bridge provides a terrific lead in line and adds linear perspective. Good to have a person there for scale. Excellent sharpness and a magnificent bg cathedral. Tfs!
