CHURCH INTERIOR.
Sint Jan in Eremo a famer area, but a very quiet place.
The single-aisled church has an interior in Baroque and Rococo style. The rococo stucco, for example, dates from 1774. The high altar is a portico altar made of wood painted in marble motif. It was made by Hendrik Hagheman and dates from 1699. It contains a painting depicting Mary with child. The tabernacle is from the end of the 18th century.
The communion rail by Hendrik Hagheman (1704) has three pilasters in the middle part with allegorical representations of faith, hope and love. The pulpit from 1699 is also by Hagheman. The female figure under the bowl is an allegory of faith. On the bowl are scenes related to the life of John the Baptist. Three panels have been placed on the sounding board depicting Mary with Child, Saint Joseph and Saint Janneke. One of the confessional seats, with decorations such as bunches of fruit and flowers, a squirrel and a snake. The other confessional, which contains a medallion representing Saint Peter, was made in 1742 by Pieter van Herreweghe.
Under the organ are five 18th-century paintings, the middle one depicts Christ as Salvator Mundi and also shows the coat of arms and pedigree of Father Van den Foreeste. To the left and right are paintings depicting the four evangelists.
The parish has a monstrance from 1725 and a silver reliquary (1775-1776) of Saint John. Both were made by Pieter De Thieu.
I hope you like it

Hello John,
It's a bit surprising to find the ceiling much more decorated than the walls. You have taken a fine photo of this pleasant church. It's a sharp photo with a good symmetry and you handled the light very well.
Best regards,
Gert

Hallo John,
Een mooie foto van het interieur van deze relatief brede en lage kerk. De symmetrie is erg aantrekkelijk en er zijn mooie details te vinden rondom de vele stoeltjes in het midden.

Hi John,
The length of the nave id creating depth. The point of view is showing the details of the architecture of the interior of the Sint Jan in Eremo church. The surrounding light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello John,
Another beautiful photo of the interior of a Church. I believe that this is one of his specialties, because his internal photos of churches are really all very beautiful. The place is in fact quite old, with several pieces from past centuries. The woody tones with the white walls of the Church give a great contrast and perspective to the photo.
Best Regards

Hello John,
A superb interior shot of this church with well managed low light levels and a notable absence of traditional pews, replaced by single chairs. Perfect sharpness and symmetrical framing. Tfs!

Hello John,
This is a pretty little church, delightfully decorated and not overpowering as sometimes happens with baroque styles!
Your photograph is both sharp and composed with a fine symmetry.
I like how you have revealed the curving details of the ceiling which makes it seem almost cosy.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi John,
very attractive and quite uniquely decorated interior. The chairs make a nice pattern in the foreground and the ceiling is originally decorated too.
Excellent interior presentation,

The "crown" decorating the ceiling was first object noticed when opened this picture, john.
Than, looking at other details, reckon the benches and cabinets on both sides gave excellent depth towards the altar on the far side of the hall.
Fairly bright inside, the outcome is well done photo.
Good evening,
Ike

Hallo John,
Vele groeten, Paul

Hi John
Love the symmetry and depth created by your good sense of viewpoint that you have exploited to fullest. The contrast to brown tone and the ceiling looks quite appetizing. Excellent shot
