This photo was taken three kilometres from Damme
The farmlands all consist of good clay soil, really suitable for wheat and potatoes or beets

Summer is dominated by the wheat harvest.
The harvest starts with winter wheat at the end of July and is completed with the later harvest-ripe spring wheat.
The wheat is harvested with a combine harvester in order to be able to harvest the entire area at the ideal time.
The combine harvester separates the grains from the straw.

Hello John,
The yellow harvester standing in the darker yellow field is a strong focal point. I like the cloud of dust showing that the work was in full swing. The thick screen of trees provide an excellent background and the clouds are like white cherries on this rural cake.

Lep pogled, interesantan trenutak, dobar tekst ...
Lep trenutak zetve, dobro pokazan sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom.
Lep kombajn na polju u vreme zetve sa zelenim drvecem u pozadini i oblaci koji dolaze.
Dobar rad, lepa fotografija.
Dobar tekst o koriscenoj tehnici i elementima snimka.

Hello John, I love to see scenes like this, the farmers busy in their fields.
Excellent sharpness, we can see the dust rising as the wheat is harvested.

Hallo John,
Een foto van de oogst mag in deze augustusmaand niet ontbreken natuurlijk.
Hier was je op de juiste plaats en het juiste moment om de actie op beeld vast te leggen.
Alhoewel ons land de natste zomer aller tijden beleeft, ziet het er prachtig weer en warm uit op je foto.
Het grote graanveld en de lange rijen tot aan het groene veld zorgen voor goede diepte.

It is an enviable country in Belgium's agriculture and environment. The blue sky and clouds are very attractive.
Looking at the old encyclopedia of Korea, they grew beet, potatoes, and tobacco crops in addition to wheat.

Dag John,
Een schitterende foto in geel, groen en blauw. De warme kleuren van de graanoogst. Geen groep mensen de met hooivorken het graan verzamelen maar een man dit alleen dit werk in een dag kan doen waar men vroeger met velen dagen voor nodig had.
Uitstekend gefotografeerd.

The yellow harvester is a modern version of the old horse drawn hay rake. Just a coincidence we both posted similar farm machinery today. Good warm cold colour contrasts and sharpness. Tfs!

Een mooie impressie van de oogst. De voorgrond vol gele kleuren zorgt voor een mooi kleurcontrast met de rij groene bomen en de blauwe lucht. Dit grote witte wolken zijn ook heel aantrekkelijk.

Hello John,
A perfect harvesting scene in the farmlands.
I love the big monster busying cutting the wheat and blowing the dust behind ... making row after row of cut crops in straight line.
The trees b/g are amazing , all almost at the same height and very long too. The clouds add the whole scene even more stunning.
Very well seen and taken shot.

A typical summer harvest picture with the yellow combine at work, John.
The vast field contrast the row of trees on the far background, wonderfully allocated over the picture space.

great to have the large cloud formation in the bg, and the yellow vs blue colors play off each other so well. fun seeing tractors and farm equipment on TE, we don't see it often.

Great photograph demonstrating the present day agriculture in Europe. I like the addition of the clouds in the sky which add a nice decoration here.
