Hello John,
The bad weather has actually given the colours a special glow and created fine reflections in the wet cobble stones. These low buildings are quite interesting. They are so different from the beautiful old buildings of Bruges we are usually shown, more like former working class residences that have been restored and turned into a different kind of cultural heritage. I imagine that even on a sunny day in the high season most tourists never come here. I really like the humble simplicity of this view and the well composed photo.

The length of the street is giving depth and perspective to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the houses. The rain is giving a special mood to the scene. Have a nice day.

these low buildings are
interesting enough..
I like the composition
and my personal opinion is
that the rainy weather and
the cloudy sky give these
colors to the scenery...
the couple add life and
generally I like the simplicity
of the place..nothing complicated...

This capture does add a certain atmosphere and mood on a greyish day with good depth, clarity and perspective. The well detailed row of old buildings serves as strong features while the two figs are timely included to boost the total liveliness. Congrats.

Hello John,

These streets are full of character, from their eclectic mix of house styles, to their cobbled road surfaces!
The sky was cloudy and the streets wet but that has revealed the textures beautifully and given us refections, which would not have happened on a dry day!

I'm glad you were able to include the couple. The animate your scene, despite the weather!

Some streets look even more charming when they are wet, and I think this is one of them. :-) The wet cobblestones are great, and all the small houses are pretty, too. I like that you also captured a couple walking down the lane. Take care!

In English language there is the saying that "when life gives you lemons -you should make a lemonade..."
I suppose this is something visible inm your gallery: sometimes the weather which you get, like in this photo, is not optimal but it does not stop you from recording brilliant photos. Here the rainy day mood is perfectly captured,
