CARRIAGE.

White Sunday is invariably the feast of Santa Claus in Maldegem, and also the moment when Santa Claus came to light the festive lights. 揝he organized a light version of White Sunday on Sunday 5 December,� says alderman Peter Van Hecke. 揥e focus on carriage rides for families through the centre. After the carriage ride, all children received a nice gift from Sinterklaas. To organize everything corona-safe, the carriage ride had to be reserved in advance.
No winter bar on the Market this year. Between 2 and 8 p.m. there were carriage rides with horses per family bubble. A tour through the centre was therefore only possible with your own family. After the tour you could visit Sinterklaas with your family and each child received a nice gift. The carriage ride and meeting with Sinterklaas together lasted about 30 minutes.

Hello John,
This should be a nice experience for children, and even nicer is probably to receive a gift afterwards. The red and black carriage is quite beautiful but the white horses look even better. You placed yourself well in this area of hedges and trees, which provided a fine background to the photo.

Hallo John,
Ik beken dat ik nog nooit van Witte Zondag gehoord heb, enkel van de zondag waarop de Witte Mars in Brussel gehouden werd.
Maar dat is duidelijk iets anders.
De reizigers op de paardenkoets zijn heel warm ingeduffeld. Ook wel nodig in december.
Mooie witte paarden en eveneens een prachtige zwart-rode koets.
Perfect scherp getoond met een licht wazige achtergrond.

Hi John,
This is a fantastic capture of the carriage. I like how crispy sharp it is and how nicely it is set against the slightly blurred background.
The horses are so clean white and the carried brightly red painted.

Nice morning excursion for these tourists and if you are horse lovers then you cannot fail to appreciate this shot. Lovely feel of speed, colour rendition and contrast make quite an impact to the picture. Fine shot.

Hello John,

Well done to the officials for having organised such a safe, wonderful Christmas experience that the children will remember all their lives!
Your photograph clearly shows the open-topped carriage carrying the family and drawn by the two white horses.
It's a nicely angled shot, including the winter trees as a fine, textural backcloth.
