Location in East Flanders

Donk is a church village in the Belgian province of East Flanders. It is located in the municipality of Maldegem, near the border with West Flanders. The place is located on the Heirweg, which used to be the connection between Bruges and Antwerp. Today Donk is located in a quiet, rural area on the border of the Flemish polder land and the higher sandy part of Flanders.

Hello John,
The scenery is nice and the sign declaring the end of Donk is eye-catching, but the light and colours are by far the most important features of this photo. I like how you managed to make the sun spread its rays across the trunk of the tree.

Hallo John,
Mooie landelijke sc鑞e met de schaapjes in de weide.
Je hebt de zonnestralen heel goed vastgelegd op de zijkant van de nabije boomstam.
De straat en de greppel zorgen voor diepte in het beeld.
Vermoedelijk heb je ook deze foto op een heel vroeg tijdstip genomen.

The length of the road is giving depth and perspective to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the buildings in the background. The bright sun does not hurt the colors output. Have a nice day.

I assume that this was taken leaving Donk and doesn't mean "no Donk". A good semi rural photo with that road coming from the corner.

Hello John, Of course, I like this view. In fact, you left Donk, as the sign indicates, but we see another farmhouse and the big field with sheep. I like the light and beautiful colours of late autumn. The sun rays on the tree is a beautiful element.

Hello John, I like the name 'Donk'.
The position of the sun has given a lovely glow across the land, highlighting the colours and textures of the scene.
I like the flare of the sun too.
The road leads our eyes into the far distance.

This is a beautiful scene with the bright sun in it. I like the sunrays clearly visible in the right side against the tree.
The left side is so colorful with attractive long shades.
The morning is such a fantastic moment to take photos.

Je hebt weer een paar prachtige landschapjes gepost, John. Een genot om mee te kijken. Hier zijn het het naambord en de stralen van de zon op de boom, plus die typische hoeve. Mooi werk!

A great composition with this beautiful rural landscape, I love those golden tones in the field and some of the trees, nice effect of the sun's rays on the trunk of the tree, good perspective.
Very effective coloring, which highlights the details of the image.
Very well done. I like very much.
