CORONA TIME MIDDELBURG
Middelburg, photo taken during my daily bike ride
It was during corona time that almost all people stayed in their house.
It was also imposed by the government, but I have always cycled because I thought that exercising healthily and not coming into contact with other people could do no harm. And that turned out to be the case
I dare you to tell you that it is really strange, when one does not see anyone on the street, and everything was dead quiet here.
It looks like a ghost town, but good for taking a picture.
Hopefully we'll get rid of the pandemic soon, or am I too optimist
Middelburg is a village in the Belgian province of East Flanders and a sub-municipality of Maldegem. Middelburg is located in the northwest of the province, in the Meetjesland, near the border with the Netherlands. It is the smallest borough of Maldegem both in terms of territory and population and was an independent municipality until the end of 1976. It has an area of 5.86 km² and had 607 inhabitants at the end of 2007.
I hope you like it

Dag John
Groetjes & blijf gezond
Benny

Hello John,
We never saw empty streets like this in Sweden. We were never forbidden to go out and there were no punishments for living reasonably normally. There were only warnings and recommendations. Many people have died but not more than in most other countries, just about average. It has been shown quite clearly that strict lock-downs have been fairly useless.
But the empty streets gave you an opportunity for an unusual photo where the painted traffic signs in the street are eye-catching. The photo is as always perfectly exposed and well balanced.
Best regards,
Gert

Hallo John,
Vele groeten, Paul

Hi John,
The length of the street is giving dynamism to the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the church and of the houses. The colors and the sharpness are very good. Have a nice day.

Hello John
You have a good experience with cycling both in controlling the corona and finding new places. Good text describing this small village. The green and lush color of the trees is ecstatic. Well seen. With respect

Hi John
Excellent topical capture John, you must be standing in the middle of a usually very busy junction. Just like a movie set quite eerie and scary to say the least. It's a wonderful image though - The covid-19 era! and a wonderful main street image of this time.
Best regards

Hi John,
In England all restrictions are gone to my knowledge however we can still see some people with masks on etc. Even travel restriction are gone.
Nice spot, I suppose it was an opportunity for photographers to be able to photograph streets without people :)
Lovely church, interesting painting on the road.
Very well done,
M

Hi John.
What peace and tranquility this beautiful place conveys, these old houses are ideal, the magnificent church in the shape of a cross with a large dome, it is surprising not to see any cars in the area.
A beautiful composition, with great colors, splendid light and the sharpness is excellent with fine details.
Very well done, I like it
All the best for you.
Luis.

Hello John
Incredible view of these streets so totally empty. We also had lockdowns but usually, there were some people in the streets. And you also went there to take some photos and to breathe the fresh air.
Best regards MAlgo

Hallo John,
Mooi werk.
