Photographer's Note

The Minčeta Tower was built by a local builder named Nicifor Ranjina and Italian engineers sent by Pope Pius II in 1463, at the height of the Turkish threat.Originally as a strong four-sided fort, it is the most prominent point in the defensive system towards the land. The tower's name derives from the name of the Menčetić family, who owned the ground upon which the tower was built. By its height and impressive volume, the tower dominates the northwestern high part of the city and its walls.

Hello Janusz,
The wall leads us to the tower where the steep staircase seen on a diagonal is full of people wanting to find an even better view of the old part of Dubrovnik. To the left the wall continues. The tower is well placed towards the side and in the foreground a man makes a good focal-point. Light, colours and sharpness are all as good as usual.

You took advantage of a great light to show this tower with such an excellent quality, with beautiful and well saturated colors! Sharpness is also perfect! The flag on top of the tower is a beautiful detail that stands out in the composition! Very nice job!
