Photographer's Note

Plitvice Lakes National Park in northern Croatia has several lakes interconnected with waterfalls, but there are some quiet stretches as well, with reeds such as this in placid waters. Inspired by some of Nicou's shots, featuring a zen dreamlike reflection. Over 1.1 million people visited the park in 2014.

Hello Chris,
This is quite different from most of your photos. I could call it a photo like a piece of poetry, a picture for contemplation and rest. It's very nice to see something out of the ordinary.

This Minimalist photo of the silhouette of the reeds, with sharp resolution, agains the variegated blue green of the water... this is a superb piece of photographic art. The shadows of the reeds on the lower right are evocative of Japanese calligraphy. This is one of the finest photos I've seen in the past week.

An elegant and attractive shot, very soothing and calming, composed in a simple and creative way. The light reflecting on the gently rippling water has helped to produce some lovely colours. Nicely framed and with excellent sharpness. A very pleasing photo as well as a very beautiful image of nature.

La lumi鑢e donne deux teintes diff閞entes aux couleurs de l'eau ce qui semble cr閑r une zone 閏lair閑 et une zone ombrag閑. Les reflets sur l'eau sont des atouts � la composition. La prise de vue donne des sensation de s閞閚it� et de tranquillit�. Bonne journ閑.

Shaded part of the reflection got a blue/purple tone, well in contrast to green on water surface.
Reed stalks and their reflection are a gfine graphic bonus to the whole.

Hello Chris, I agree with Bulent that the black shapes of the reeds reminds me very much of Japanese artwork, beautiful.
A simple shot, but the lovely colours and the rippled water make a beautiful semi- abstract picture.
