Bathing in Krka Falls, a photo from Sibensko-Kninska, Coast

Photographer's Note

Krka is one of the Croatian national parks, named after the river Krka that it encloses. It is located in central Dalmatia, in 奿benik-Knin county, downstream of Miljevci area and just a few kilometers northeast of the city of 奿benik. It was proclaimed a national park in 1985 and is the seventh national park in Croatia. It would be pity not to visit the exceptional archeological site of Bribirska Glavica, only fifteen kilometers from Skradin by asphalt road. Bribirska Glavica is approximately 300 meters above sea level, and has a relative altitude is approximately 150 meters. Its flat peak resembles a large oval plateau, tipped toward the southeast, and the surface area is approximately 72,000 square meters. Owing to favorable conditions, such as inexhaustible sources of potable water, the fertility of Bribirsko Polje and open pastures suitable for stock grazing, this region began to be inhabited during Paleolithic times.

Nice shot with warm, saturated colors. Brings back souvenirs. I visited the Krka falls at the end of the fifties! There were not many asphalt roads in that time.

i'm glad you are not scared to hit that postcard-like flavour... it works in your hands as this is not a typical, boring stuff from the holiday... it's more like a report from a crowded place - ants in the river....

funny, i was looking photos from Krka cause i did a negative critique on TL about quite the same scene but here the disposition of the crowd don't looks as messy as in that photo on TL
and then i see this one, from you, not the usual style..
judging by what i see on my screen i would add some gamma, the contrast is a bit hard too, but i know how harsh the light is in the warm Croatia ^^
as i said on TL, i would LOVE to be able to go in any Croatian national park each weed-end of the year!!!

It seems a very attractive place, of course the photo is also so nice. It's interesting to make us feel both the beach of the sea and the mountain at the same time. Luminous white of the waterfall is truly amazing.

you've managed to promote mass tourism with this photo :) Is very vivid, alive and full of colours, with an excellent composition.
It's a pitty though some people are in the dark, but anyway a nice one!

PS: The Krka falls are beautiful also in winter, where there is noone around and you can be all alone here.
