Dubrovnik,City in Croatia

Dubrovnik is a city in southern Croatia fronting the Adriatic Sea. It's known for its distinctive Old Town, encircled with massive stone walls completed in the 16th century. Its well-preserved buildings range from baroque St. Blaise Church to Renaissance Sponza Palace and Gothic Rector抯 Palace, now a history museum. Paved with limestone, the pedestrianized Stradun (or Placa) is lined with shops and restaurants.

why have we not seen this POV of dubrovnik before, or at least all the time????? This is beautiful!

and not only that, but i like the exposure, the HDR look to the scene, the large city walls, the water crashing on the rocks, its A+ all the way. One of your best post!

As Craig said , a not often shown view of Dubrovnik .
But what a beautiful one ! And such a terrifuc atmosphere with the rough sea and the stormy sky . The composition is perfect and so rich .

Beautiful Dubrovnik from a well known spot, Danos, shows well the small rocky bay and old walls.
This town is one of the Adriatic jewel places.
Fine light and colors, the blue choppy water marvelously added vivid tones.

Hello Danos,
The rocks and the strong waves give this less often seen view a rather dramatic look. The pier full of people, the great wall and the tower are all very interesting features. There are traces of quite heavy processing, seen especially in the clouds that look like they were painted by a baroque artist.

Hi Danos

I did spot this view when I was in Dubrovnik but it was late afternoon and the strong backlighting detracted a lot. I'd suggest a morning shot. I like the effect of the pp on the clouds that gives this the look of a painting. Tfs!

A busy but quite a dramatic scene of an interesting coast line, this pov suits pretty well as I feel is the best way to enjoy the extensive view and I find intriguing as to the proximity of the cliff edge! all so very well exposed in the sunlight to get every detail and colour of rugged limestone formation with the bonus of surrounding features. The tiny people gives some ideas of space and scale of a vibrant and popular sight. Excellent, Congrats.

This is an exciting scene!
It is both historic and wild!
The rocky coastline seems to grow into the old walls and towers that surround the town!
The exposure has a very HDR feel which vey much adds to the beauty and the sense of depth.
This is a cracker of a shot!

Probablement une des plus belles pr閟entation du mois dernier. Surtout � cause des nuages qui donnent quelque chose d'exceptionnel � l'ensemble. Magnifique point de vue sur la mer sauvage � souhaits.

An original view of Dubrovnik and a very bautiful one.
You looked for a very good elevated spot to have this splendid view.
There are several interesting elements on this photo that is very well balanced.
Beautiful blue water with white foam around the rocks.
Also the clouds above the roofs and the mountains look very pretty.
