Photographer's Note

The oilseed rape field (canolla oilseed) in South Bohemia, near Blatna town. It磗 picturesque region with many beautiful towns and villages, with wonderful clear nature. The specialty of this region are wonderful fishponds, wich was founded in middle ages (from 1350 to 1600).

This shot was taken with old soviet (ukrainian) SLR - Zenith 12XP.

Jiri wow what a picture! Great colors with a lot of dept. Mabey a little bit unsharp in the foreground..?? Never mind good picture.

very nice image Jiri. I love it and it will be in my favorites right now. The colors , your composition.. Refreshing in a very grey and dull day.. thank's a lot.

By the way, I started to take pictues with a Zenith. The helios is a very nice lens too.

So much for a thumbnail that screams "klick me!" ;-) The colors are just plain stunning, and your shot has a very good depth. A beautiful natural landscape shot, just to my liking. A very pleasant sight on a drab February day like today. Thanks for sharing, Jiri.

Excellent colours and composition. I think we call these "Canolla" oil seed. Beautiful. The green and blue backgrounds are wonderful Very well done.

Beautiful capture. Rape seed fields are always visual stunners, but I don't think I've ever seen this big a field before. The colours seem true and correct to me.

It is simply breathtaking. Colors are well-exposed and teh layers of yellow are more than enough to make ths shot fantastic. Sure the green and the blue adds into it. Yellow + Blue = Green. Great color combination.

This is a really striking image with amazingly bold colours. I do feel you've overcooked the yellow a bit as it doesn't look entirely natural anymore. But fantstic composition ensures you get your message across with ease. I even like the frame...

Great colors ! nice landscape. Maybe a smaller aperture would have given more depth of field (it seems to me that the foreground is a bit out of focus)

Lovely and vivid colors. I especially like the way you let the rape field cover two thirds of the picture. It gives a feeling of both depth and width.
