Photographer's Note

We will look at the second mining tower from J醕hymov. It belongs to the Josef pit and is almost in the center, as it is 450 meters away from St. J醕hym's church as the crow flies. This was also the first mining facility I encountered in J醕hymov. I started from the spa up to the square and eventually found out that walking down the main road was not the way to go. So I turned left up the slope and found it was uphill off the main road. Then I noticed this mining tower and got a terrible desire to see it up close. So I walked up such steep stairs on the slope and even though it was fenced off, at least this can be purchased. J醡a Josef is a silver mine founded in 1520 and was the richest in the area. Uranium was also mined here after the Second World War. Today, the mine is used for pumping radon water for medical purposes.

Pod韛醡e se na druhou tě瀗 vě z J醕hymova.
