Photographer's Note
The little tower of Frederiksoe is build around 1680 and is placed on a very tiny island in the Baltic Sea - 24 km from other civilisation. About 20 habitants live on Frederiksoe, about 80 habitants live on neighbor island Christiansoe, from where this picture is taken.

Wow ! What a strange light... I very much like its effects on the tree. It looks almost in 3D...
Very good composition, all is enjoyable, in the background as in the foreground. The DOF is perfect and the colours are beautiful !
3 smileys, if I could !!!
Welcome on TE Peter, and please keep on posting..

Great photo Peter !
The lighting is amazing, and the DOF is just perfect.
I like the composition of this shot with that (very strange lighted) tree spreading almost all across the frame, but still allowing for a very detailed and clear view of the houses in front.
Very well done.

That blue again is so lovely... Really amazing atmosphere, it looks like a filmset for a Christmas Carol movie.
Could you tell which camera you're using? You can add the details of equipement in your "profile"

Simply beautiful! I like the lighter (cyan) color of the sky sandwiched between the dark blue of the clouds and dark blue of the water.

I love the two trees in the foreground because of the snow on the side of the branches and the way they contrast that dark blue sky. A thoroughly succesful composition that keeps the eye fixed on it but taking in everything.

Wow, quite impressive scene! It almost looks unreal. The tree worked great as a frame, I would just clone out the branches on top right, but this became an unimportant detail in this great picture.

I really likes your darkblue cloud and the landshape with a little snow. I think the 23th of December must have been a very special day when we are talking about the weather in Fredriksoe. The color is working so good together and making a real good contrast. Your composition is very good too. Like the tree that works as a frame, and the tower had found it self as a very good place. Again, well done Peter.

jolie composition mais j'aurais aimer voir l'arbre en entier , sinon j'aime bien la vue et les couleurs .

This picture is a well-composed one. The tree gave a good perspective to this small tower. I have a feeling of infinity looking at the vast expanse of blue color.

Cliché magnifique. Tout y est, le sujet original, la composition , les couleurs et le ciel menaçant. Super !

Something in this photo seems magic, may be the light, may be the tree, I don't know, but the composition is great with tower on right, following the diagonal line.

Hi Peter,
Very nice photo, really a great view. I have never been to Bornholm and the island next to Bornholm, but this photo proofs that one really have to visit this.
The snow, the dramatic sky and the tree to the left makes the photo fantastic!

Very nice composition of almost forgotten lonely housings with a tree in front of a shot. A half dark sky added special colours. Well done!

A superb photo, Peter. Great lighting on the tower, a wonderfully moody sky and the tree frames the picture well on the left.

The tree balances the building very well, and the light is wonderful. Well done. I would also like to know what camera you are using?

Hej Peter,
the great loneliness of Ertholmene, a group of small islands in the middle of the Baltic Sea and the most eastern point of Denmark, captured in great light and with some snow. What a luck!
