Happy New Year to all TE friends!

The photo was shot a little after sunset in the last evening of 2008. Some previous nights had been cold, a few degrees below freezing point, and the shallow sea bay had a very thin layer of ice. The ice will now thicken, because the first days and nights of this year will be even colder, approaching -15C. But we still have no snow yet.

What a beautiful ending of the year. That ice looks fantastic and the colors of the sky are nice. I like the black shapes of the trees and even that airplane on the sky. It's a pity you don't have any snow in Espoo. Here in K鰕li� we have just enough snow that the ground is white.

� un'immagine magica e fatata, proprio come da noi ci si immagina il grande Nord, il paese degli elfi e delle fate (:-
Composizione molto equilibrata e ben costruita, con esposizione perfetta per rendere bene il cielo e i colcori del tramonto, mentre gli alberi appaiono in silhuette. Mi piace molto il colore dorato dell'acqua e quelle zone bianche che presumo sia ghiaccio. Anche il jet d� il suo contributo: sembra una cometa!

Ciao carissimo amico,
� un'immagine splendida, tipica dei paesaggi nordici.
La composizione � equilibrata e ben costruita, con un'ottima resa del cielo e dei colori del tramonto. Mi piace molto il colore dell'acqua ed i riflessi su di essa. Infine la scia dell'aereo � una vera chicca!

Io invecchio e dicevo mi sono dimenticato di qualcuno importante.
Eri tu "follett" delle foreste e laghi norveggiesi. che entri poco , ma guardi tutto.

Settimio Severo era triste a Roma, un viaggio in una localit� come quella della foto gli avrebbe tolto la gastrite.

Beautiful winter shot, even in the first looking it looks warm , but it is strong picture to show the mixed between warm sunlight and the cold and frozen in this time of the year, you captured that very good.

it's a very beautiful view! A very well balanced scene in every respect. Colour-wise, it conveys a cold tranquil atmosphere and cool winter mood, which I like very much.
I especially like the sky, its soft gradient colour!

Wonderful Nordic light! That jet track in the sky is just the necessary detail to make this composition complete. It looks like the beginning of an excellent ice for skating, but will it be thick enough here in the Baltic?

what a beautiful photo! You have captured the true light of the winter in a composition that only a good photographer can do. I like a lot the soft tonalities of the sky reflected on the water in suggestive way. Often, the wakes of the airplanes disturb the sky, but this time is a pleasant diversionary.
