Photographer's Note
This picture has been taken at the same place I took the other one, three years ago. This previous picture had no success, but I try another shot with this one in a snowy landscape.
The Frankenkenbourg castle has been built on the top of the Schlossberg mountain (703 meters), between Neubois and La Vancelle.
Seven pictures have been stitched to create this photo.

Bonsoir,

Hi Stephane!
These ruins seem really interesting, but the snow covering them and the trees make the photo really attractive, especially with such a blue sky!Very good sharpness and colours!

Roger

Great castle shot, Stephane. The winter landscape and strong winter light add to the dramatic beauty of the scene. I love the trees on the top of the tower. Also nice to compare to the older shot in your note.

Bonjour Stéphane,
Frost flowers shining in the blue sky are really beautiful. Good use of sharpness makes it more brilliantly.
Vertical seam of the stitch can be faintly seen at middle of the image on my monitor though it's trifling.
Beautiful work.
Have a nice day, Hisashi

Bonjour Stephane!
The appeal of this picture is more thanks to the snow & frost. Light is good (& was the same in your earlier post) , but the framing with the frosted trees & the ones especially at the top of the castle, makes this certainly more interesting. Flawless stitching for this Good work!
With Regards

Bonjour Stephane,
A pity that these old castle became a ruin, perhaps can the old fortress use as music hall, depth under the ground.
You chose a good angle, splendid depth and perspective.
Also find I your picture wonderful as subject and color in the snow.
Excellent presentation.
Very well done, TFS.
Amicalement, et bon weekend,
John.

Hi Stephane,
great capture: the ruins look fantastic in the winter decoration. The snow took over the scene adding so much life to the composition. I really like it.

Hi Stephane,
First I thought the title was Castle Frankenstein :) ti would have fit, the way the castle was so ruined, only half of it still standing. If not for the blue sky and wonderful sunshine, it would kind of a spooky image. LOVE the great details of the snow on the tree branches, especially thos on top of the tower against the blue sky. Simply fantastic details in this shot, good light managemant, perfectly contrast. wonderful work. Thanks.

Salut Stephane ,

Hi Stephane!
Very nice and interesting ruins!
Choosing wintertime to take this picture was an excellent idea! The contrast between the white snow, the clear blue sky and the dark elements of the Castle and vegetation is great!
Sharpness, exposure, chosen pov, horizontal & rectangular & panoramical format, black & white borders and simple symmetrical composition are all excellent! Of course, a superb stitch job!
TFS - congrats,
Cheers,
Neyvan
