Difficult to follow by planes in flight during a meeting distance, speed of evolutions etc etc but I am satisfied enough of this plate which immortalizes well action and place.

The vapor trail does what you were hoping to do, I think, by implying the rapid ascent of the plane. The expressions and poses of the bystanders has the same effect, following it upwards - in fact, the whole shot has a nice movement to it leading up to the plane. Nice shot.
