Photographer's Note

Old Port, Marseille, Bouches-du-Rh鬾e district.

End of the boat trip (see previous photo) and a lovely surprise when we arrived at the port: the blue light on pontoons complete perfectly the classic yellow lights of the city. The lack of a tripod is acute, I抦 sorry about it, but I really wanted to share the excitement I felt while watching this.

J'aime beaucoup la composition de ce carr�,le rendu des teintes artificielles est un d閘ice de compl閙entarit�.Le bleu et les couleurs chaudes de de l'arri鑢e plan est une partition visuelle que j'appr閏ie.C'est une image de musique � deux tonalit閟(j'aime la musique).

Hi Delphine,
From the thumbnail I could not work out what the blue silver objects were, how cool that it turns out to be so many fine little boats. The cold tones of the boats is in beautiful contrast to the warm gold tones of the buildings beyond. Very nice moment.

This is not just blue and yellow. This photo also gets a lot of its character from the darkness of the evening and the many lights that create a marvellous atmosphere.It's a very well composed and well exposed photo.

Belle contrast entre le bleu froid sur le ponton et la lumi鑢e chaleureux dans la ville en arri鑢e plan. Cette combination fait pour un sujet extraordinaire. J'admire aussi la clart� pour un photo pris dans le noir sans un statif.

It's extremely striking in colour contrast to the night shot that you have successfully registered with lovely patterns stretching all the way from the fg. The exposure is so subtle with excellent sharpness - hand held, well detailed and it's the glittering lights add to the visual impact. Indeed a cool

Ne soit pas d閟ol閑 pour l'absence de tr鑠ied.L'image est tr鑣 belle et m閞ite bien d'阾re partag閑.L'effet pictural n� de la confrontation de ces deux couleurs est tr鑣 fort.Surtout cette 閏lairage bleut� assez insolite qui baigne le large premier plan.Tr鑣 bon cadrage aussi,avec cet effet de tranches Napolitaines,o� se superposent le noir,l'ocre et le bleu.
